Smart city
Technologies for cities and their inhabitants
Would you like to make it easier for people to park their cars in your city? Are you looking for a solution to the problem of constantly overflowing garbage bins? Or do you need precise information about the air quality in your city to use as a basis for political decision-making? For all of these scenarios, digital solutions and technologies are available that can transform your city into a smart city and improve the quality of life for its inhabitants.

What is a smart city?
Digitalization is also finding its way into urban development.
The term used in this context is “smart city,” the focus of which is on intelligent networking and exploiting the swarm intelligence of residents. Data about energy consumption, air quality, the traffic situation, street lighting, and other technical facilities is collected by sensors and used to control, plan, and monitor cities. In order to transmit this data, the cities are setting up wireless networks. At the same time, residents can participate in the development of smart cities by way of feedback systems. Especially now that climate protection and sustainability are receiving ever greater public attention, with cities suffering from excessive emissions making the headlines, it is important to take action now to shape the path to the (smart) future. Smart cities not only improve the quality of life of their inhabitants, but also contribute to climate protection.
We use LoRaWAN
To pave the way for the intelligent networking of various systems and to collect and process the wealth of data generated, we are relying more and more on LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) wireless technology.
This technology is particularly cost-effective, easy to implement, and secure. The data is fully encrypted, i.e. each message is protected by AES encryption. Moreover, the gateways and network and application servers are encrypted using https and VPN technologies. The biggest advantage, however, is that the use of LoRaWAN opens up a wide range of applications.
